Rapper Tyga was briefly arrested Tuesday by the LA Police Department in connection with a domestic violence incident.

Rapper Tyga (31) – real name Michael Stevenson – was arrested Tuesday morning by the Los Angeles Police Department in connection with an incident of domestic violence that allegedly occurred the same day.

That’s what the “People” magazine reports citing a police tweet: “Hollywood Div has arrested Michael Stevenson for serious domestic violence (273.5 A PC). The incident took place on October 12, 21 in Hollywood,” said the LAPD’s public information account on Tuesday.

Tyga’s ex-girlfriend, Camaryn Swanson, had previously shared photos of abuse allegedly caused by him on her Instagram account. That Promiportal “TMZ” had linked to it. “I’ve been abused emotionally, mentally and physically and I’m not hiding it anymore,” she wrote of a photo of herself with a black eye.

Swanson and Tyga are said to have been a couple since early 2021. When they broke up is unclear.

Release on bail

The US musician was released from police custody on Tuesday afternoon after depositing $ 50,000 (the equivalent of around 43,300 euros).

Tyga’s trial is scheduled for February 8th.
