Two young people from Lyon represent France in figure skating

Will they be the future Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron? Ambre Perrier-Gianesini and Samuel Blanc-Klaperman, from the Lyon ice sports club, dream of it and are on the right track to get there.

Both 16 years old, they have just obtained the title of French champions in ice dancing, “Junior” category, during the competition which took place in Nice last weekend, and flew to South Korea for the Youth Olympic Games which begin this Friday and end on February 1. The objective? “The gold medal, of course,” they hope, being the only couple to represent France.

20 minutes went to meet them before their departure during one of their training sessions at the Lyon ice rink. Find their testimonies, as well as those of their coaches Marien de la Asuncion and Olivier Schoenfelder, in the video at the top of this article.
