This Tuesday marks the second anniversary of what will go down in history as the collision of German politics in reality. Three days after the Russian attack on Ukraine, the Bundestag met for the first and last time on a Sunday. Chancellor Olaf Scholz described the new situation as a “turning point”. He spoke of how the world “after” would no longer be the same as “before.”
