Four years in prison, two of which are closed, and a ban on civil and civic rights of five years against the one who is still senator of Bouches-du-Rhône. These are the requisitions of the public prosecutor towards Jean-Noël Guérini, tried for two weeks before the Marseille criminal court for “illegal taking of interests”.

A firm sentence of eight years with a warrant of committal has also been demanded against his brother Alexandre, accused of having orchestrated the rigging of public contracts.

Prohibition to practice in the treatment of waste

Prosecutor Etienne Perrin also demanded a 70,000 euros fine against Jean-Noël Guerini and 500,000 euros against his brother Alexandre, against whom a ban on civil and civic rights for five years was also requested.

The representative of the public prosecutor also asked the court to impose a ban for the two men to exercise a profession in the field of waste treatment and, for Alexandre Guérini, a ban from running a business for five years.
