Two trade unionists beaten and locked in the cold room of a slaughterhouse

They decided to testify so as not to have their complaint remain silent. Two trade unionists working for the Arc Prestation group, based in Sarthe, denounce the violence to which they were subjected during a visit to a slaughterhouse in Guerche-de-Bretagne (Ille-et-Vilaine). According to France Bleuthe events allegedly took place on September 22 within the walls of the Gatine Viandes slaughterhouse where the two unionists came to meet the employees.

In the corridors, they would have crossed paths with an executive from their employer Arc Prestation. The latter allegedly first threatened them before hitting them and then locking them in a cold room. “He closed the door and threatened us, telling us that we had nothing to do here, that the employees did not need us, and that we had to leave quickly,” said namely one of the victims at France Bleu.

One of the unionists remained on the ground, unconscious and was treated by emergency services, who transported him to hospital. His colleague was also hospitalized. Twenty-one and 17 days of ITT were prescribed. The two victims filed a complaint but received no response or support from their employer.
