Two temporary centers opened to process passport applications more quickly

“An unprecedented increase. Since the gradual exit from the coronavirus pandemic, requests for passports and identity cards have steadily increased. Never seen. So much so that the lead times are exploding. In order to reduce its delays, the Ministry of the Interior has set up an emergency plan which is also available in the Rhône.

In Lyon and Saint-Priest, two new temporary centers will open on Monday and for four months. Each will be equipped with ten wickets. The first will be in the annex of the Hôtel de ville de Lyon, place Louis Pradel. The second will be in Saint-Priest, within the Espace Marboise. Appointments are made online: www.lyon.fr/demarches or www.espaces-citoyens.net.
