Two suspects brought after woman’s body found in freezer

The lifeless body of a woman was found in the freezer of an apartment in Grigny (Essonne) on Saturday. A man and a woman are presented Sunday evening to an examining magistrate with a view to their indictment afterwards, indicated the parquet floor of Evry.

A judicial investigation, in particular for murder by a partner, has been opened, added the same source. The man in question was the victim’s companion. The prosecution requested the remand in custody of the two suspects.

Two shots per firearm

The instruction will have to “precisely determine the role of the various stakeholders in the fatal process”, specified the prosecution. The autopsy revealed two firearm shots on the victim’s body, one on the head and the other on the chest, the same source reported.

The victim’s companion, reported missing on Thursday and aged 44, was taken into custody on Friday evening, first for kidnapping and forcible confinement and then for murder by a partner when the body was found. He is a 47-year-old man residing in the La Grande Borne district above a butcher’s shop, according to a police source. He was arrested Friday in possession of a handgun and had scratches on his face and bloodstains on his legs.

A 38-year-old woman, friend of the victim’s companion, had also been placed in police custody due to telephone exchanges with the respondent, according to the same police source.

Police alerted by victim’s son

The police were alerted on Friday evening when the victim’s eldest son went to the Juvisy-sur-Orge police station to report the disappearance of his mother, whom he had dropped off the previous evening in the Grande Borne district.

Worried about not having heard from his mother, who was supposed to return home at night, and unable to reach her on her mobile phone, the son went on Friday near the place where he had dropped her off Thursday evening.

There he met an alcoholic individual, posing as his mother’s boyfriend and claiming that the latter had left the neighborhood the night before after ordering a VTC driver. The judicial police (PJ) of Evry discovered Saturday the body of the victim in a freezer during a search at the home of this man.
