Two purchase contracts for Hahn Airport in the Hunsrück – SWR Aktuell

In addition to the Nürburgring operator, there is another bidder for the Hunsrück Airport Hahn. According to his own statements, he has also signed a purchase agreement.

According to SWR information, the second buyer is the Mainz real estate developer WR Holding. A notarial contract was signed via a subsidiary and the purchase price was also deposited, it said. WR Holding builds apartments and business premises. One of the best-known projects is the development of the Rhein-Selz Park in Nierstein, a former US barracks.

Insolvency administrator confirms two contracts

A spokesman for Hahn’s insolvency administrator Jan Markus Plathner confirmed to SWR on Saturday that different sales options had been secured. Plathner has “concluded purchase agreements with independent investors, which are still subject to conditions, so that ultimately only one contract will be completed.”

On Friday it became known that Hahn’s insolvency administrator had signed a contract with the Nürburgring holding company NR-Holding owned by the Russian investor Viktor Charitonin. The chairman of the supervisory board of the NR Holding, Michael Lemler, confirmed this to the SWR. According to information from the dpa, the holding company has already deposited 20 million euros in a so-called escrow account.

The Russian oligarch Charitonin is not on the EU sanctions list against Russia. However, the sale to his holding company must be approved by the Federal Ministry of Economics.

SWIFT CONJOY has not paid

Both the Russian investor and WR Holding had bid for the Hahn last year, but were defeated. At that time, the Frankfurt-based SWIFT CONJOY GmbH was awarded the contract – but it never paid the purchase price.

Creditors’ meeting on Tuesday

According to the insolvency administrator, the creditors should be informed about the new developments next Tuesday and further action will be coordinated.
