When visitors leave a concert by the “Böhse Onkelz”, there are chaotic scenes. Because people are walking on the tracks, the federal police are blocking parts of the route. A deadly accident occurs on a track that is still free.

After a rock concert in Frankfurt’s “Deutsche Bank Park” two people died on Saturday night. According to the police, they were on the tracks in the vicinity of the stadium in the south-west of the city. The 45-year-old man and the 25-year-old woman were hit by an S-Bahn, said a spokeswoman for the federal police responsible for the railway.

Even before the fatal accident at around 11:40 p.m., parts of the railway line had been closed because several people had entered the tracks after the concert by the rock band “Böhse Onkelz”, the spokeswoman said.

The train driver initiated emergency braking, but was unable to prevent the accident. After that, the entire railway line was closed to train traffic. Federal police officers secured the scene of the accident. The closures were lifted around 2 a.m. According to the Frankfurt police, there were around 300 passengers on the train who later left the train. Witnesses to the accident were cared for by the emergency pastoral care.

A woman is pulled to the ground by her hair and a man is kicked in the stomach with his knees.

A large number of concertgoers were stranded around the stadium after the incident, as reported by the “Frankfurter Neue Presse” (FNP). Many concert visitors are said to have been heavily intoxicated. According to “FNP”, there were also “various communication problems between the visitors and the organizer and the police”. The mobile phone network was also completely overloaded at times.

The band “Böhse Onkelz” was founded in 1980. Due to their proximity to right-wing rock in earlier years, they still have a controversial public image today. The first album “The Nice Man” was indexed in 1986. Around 20 albums have been released so far, and the group has topped the German charts several times.
