La Ciotat, in the Bouches-du-Rhône, pushing the couple who lived on the 2nd floor to jump with their two children aged 6 and 16 months, according to information from Provence confirmed by a police source. Both parents are seriously injured. “This morning, their vital prognosis was engaged,” said this source to AFP.

The fire that broke out in this three-storey building in the center of the town, located about thirty kilometers from Marseille, could be of electrical origin. The 28-year-old mother and 26-year-old father jumped out with their two children because “the fire had entered their apartment”, the police source said. “The dad jumped with the baby in his arms,” ​​she said. The children were also injured but their vital prognosis is not engaged.

The national police, who were patrolling the street when the fire broke out, tried unsuccessfully to put it out with fire extinguishers before being joined by municipal police officers and firefighters.
