Two injured in absolute emergency after a fire at the detention center

Two people were seriously injured in a fire that broke out late Monday afternoon at the Lyon-Saint-Exupéry detention center, we learned from the prefecture.

These two wounded, declared in absolute emergency and whose identities have not been specified, were taken to hospital, said the same source. Three other people, who had minor injuries, were considered to be in relative emergency.

According to the prefecture, the fire broke out around 5:30 p.m. at the level of an electrical sheath in the common areas of the Lyon administrative detention center, which was recently expanded to reach a total capacity of 280 places in mid-January.
