Two Femen activists demand the resignation of Damien Abad, accused of sexual assault

“It’s more pans, it’s a whole kitchen that they have in the ass”, said in substance a citizen to Elisabeth Borne a few days ago, evoking the presence of men suspected of sexual assault within the government. Among them, Damien Abad, the Minister of Solidarity, targeted by three testimonies. The former LR is seeking a third term in Ain, and if he came out on top in the first round with 33.38% of the vote, it was to the sound of pots that he woke up this Sunday morning .

Minister’s vote not disturbed

Those agitated by two feminist activists, claiming to be from the Femen movement, who were demonstrating in front of the town hall of Oyonnax. Banging on pots, the two young women, topless, chanted “Abad resign” and “Abad, if you don’t take your pots out, we’ll take care of it”, as shown in a video posted on Twitter by the movement Femen feminist.

The presence of the two demonstrators around 9 a.m. in front of the town hall, which acts as a polling station on Sunday for the legislative elections, was “very fast”, according to a police source and the vote of Damien Abad, in a school in Oyonnax, about two hours later, was undisturbed.

The minister was implicated the day after his appointment to the government for sexual violence and targeted between the two rounds of the legislative elections by new accusations from a woman who told Mediapart that she had suffered an attempted rape in 2010. He denies all the charges which have not yet given rise to any new judicial investigation. Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne invited women victims of sexual violence to file a complaint during a campaign trip this week.
