Two dogs killed in dispute between alcoholic spouses

During the night from Monday to Tuesday, in Fresnes-sur-l’Escaut, in the North, two dogs paid the price for a marital dispute on a background of alcohol, we learned from a police source. The dogs, of the Jack Russel breed, are both dead.

Basically, the police are required to intervene in a dispute between spouses, a man and a woman in their thirties. When they arrive on the scene, the officials come across a man at the entrance of the building indicated. He is copiously insulting his spouse, who is on the balcony of their home, located on the third floor.

Dogs thrown from third floor window

At the man’s feet, the police noticed a bulky garbage bag inside which they discovered two Jack Russel dogs. One is already dead while the second is dying. The latter, entrusted to a veterinarian on duty, was finally euthanized because of the seriousness of his injuries.

The couple is subjected to blood alcohol screening which reveals a rate close to one gram of alcohol per liter of blood for each. From their hearings by a judicial police officer, it appears that an argument broke out for reasons that have not been specified. The man struck his spouse and she defended herself by slashing her hand with a dozen stab wounds. Injuries that do not, however, require hospitalization.

According to the elements collected by the police, it is the young woman who is suspected of having thrown the dogs out of the 3rd floor window on the orders of her spouse. She was arrested and taken into custody.
