Two dead and three injured after car accident – Bavaria

Two drivers aged 18 and 46 were killed in a head-on collision between two cars in Eisselfing in the Rosenheim district on Friday evening. The 46-year-old’s wife and two children, who were traveling in the car, were seriously injured, the police said. As a police spokesman said on Saturday morning, none of the injured were in mortal danger.

According to initial findings, the 46-year-old driver is said to have moved his car into the opposite lane during an overtaking maneuver near the Kerschdorf district around 9 p.m. There the vehicle collided head-on with the other car. Both drivers died at the scene of the accident. The three injured people were taken to hospital in rescue helicopters and an ambulance.

The road in the Eisselfing area was closed until early Saturday morning. As the police further announced, after consultation with the public prosecutor’s office, an expert was appointed to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
