According to police, two people were killed after shots were fired in the Dutch port city of Rotterdam. One person was seriously injured. Initially, the police spoke of several deaths. A 32-year-old suspect was arrested.
According to police reports, there were two crime scenes – an apartment and the Erasmus University clinic. A fire was started in both places. The police say it was a “targeted action,” but the motive is still unclear. He is said to have shot a 39-year-old woman in the apartment and her 14-year-old daughter was seriously injured. The suspect later shot a 46-year-old lecturer in the university clinic.
The police then arrested the 32-year-old man below the hospital’s helicopter landing pad. He is said to be a student at Erasmus University.
