Two deaths in the space of 2.5 hours in two neighboring towns. The world of cycling was bereaved this Sunday on the roads of Loire-Atlantique. The first intervention by the firefighters took place around 11:30 a.m. at the level of the bridge in the town of Chevellerais, located north of Nantes. While on a leisure outing on a mountain bike, a 46-year-old man suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest, we learned from the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service. Despite attempts to revive him, the 40-year-old died.
Two hours later, another cyclist lost his life in the neighboring town of Blain. Also the victim of a cardiorespiratory arrest, the man participated in a bicycle race and was 50 years old.
