For anyone who wants to know what a powerful communication tool the short message service Twitter still is despite all the trouble, the new boss Elon Musk has just provided a perfect lesson. Because the numbers are still huge. Not even half a percent of Twitter users have left the platform so far. It may be that celebrities are fleeing in droves, but if you look at the lists, who is deleting their Twitter account with a lot of wind, it’s mostly stars who are long past their heyday, Whoopi Goldberg and Jim Carrey for example, Elton John and Liz Phair. They also embody the elite left that Elon Musk likes to drive insane. On Tuesday again with a tweet consisting only of the word “Follow” and a rabbit emoji. But that is code of the QAnon movement.
