A man was sentenced to twenty-eight years in prison by the Assize Court of Pyrénées-Orientales. A sentence accompanied by a ban on possessing a weapon and staying in the departments of Pyrénées-Orientales and Ain. “A journey of violence against women”

This version did not convince the popular jury. The conclusions of the ballistics experts and the testimonies of the relatives of the victim convinced the jurors. In particular the four children of this 47-year-old woman, born from a previous union, and that of her ex-partner.

Master Hervé Banbanaste, the victim’s children’s lawyer denounced “a long litany of victims”, in the course of a man already convicted nine times by the courts. “This is an emblematic file of feminicides and violence against women. He has ten days to appeal this judgment.
