Twelve deaths and nearly fifty hospitalizations due to adulterated cocaine near Buenos Aires

Twelve people have died and around 50 have been hospitalized in the suburbs of Buenos Aires after consuming adulterated cocaine, authorities announced on Wednesday, issuing an urgent warning to consumers who have purchased drugs in the “past 24 hours”.

“Those who bought drugs in the last 24 hours should throw them away,” said Buenos Aires provincial security minister Sergio Berni. Police operations were carried out in the popular neighborhood of Tres de Febrero, northwest of the capital, and around ten people were arrested.
