“TV total” back at ProSieben: Those were Stefan Raab’s ratings

There is hardly a man who has shaped German (private) television so much in recent years as Stefan Raab. Since 1999 he has been the figurehead of ProSieben, moderating his show “TV total” several times a week and creating rating hits such as “Schlag den Raab”, the “Wok WM” or the “TV total Turmspringen”.

In December 2015, the entertainer surprisingly withdrew from the TV business after more than two decades. Since then, Raab, who has always protected his private life well, has only acted as a producer in the background.

Sebastian Pufpaff replaces Stefan Raab on “TV total”

Now one of his most famous TV formats is returning to the screens: Starting this Wednesday, the comedy show “TV total” will be back on ProSieben at 8:15 pm. Comedian Sebastian Pufpaff will be the new moderator. The 45-year-old received the Grimme Prize for entertainment this year and is self-confident.

“We are there to judge, evaluate and punish,” said Pufpaff. He is ten years younger than “TV total” inventor Raab. However, the first trailer does not reveal any major changes to the show. The catchy melody should apparently remain the same.

At that time, Stefan Raab had collected bizarre finds from the television world and dragged talk show guests through the cocoa as well as celebrities and politicians. “TV total” is now a cult program that has produced many great television moments. Raab has won numerous prizes with it.

On the occasion of the comeback of “TV total” we look back on some of Raab’s most successful television formats.
