She did it: Dressed up as a zebra, Ella finally sang herself to win the show “The Masked Singer”. But before that there was a small costume glitch.

The zebra loses its head, but wins: accompanied by a small costume glitch, singer Ella finally won the ProSieben show “The Masked Singer”.

The 37-year-old – known for her song “Kiss me, hold me, love me” – got the most votes from the audience on Saturday evening in the finale of the music advice show. Then she took off her mask, under which she had been trying to hide for weeks – it was a happy zebra with a tulle skirt. The show was a “really great trip”, summed up Endlich. “In any case, I’ve never experienced anything like this and I probably won’t ever experience it again.”

Before the official unmasking, however, there was an accident on stage. When moderator Matthias Opdenhövel announced the zebra’s victory, Endlich – whose true identity was actually still a secret at the time – approached him euphorically in a costume. As she hugged him, the zebra’s head tilted backwards prematurely and fell off. The back of the singer’s head was visible for a brief moment. Opdenhövel quick-wittedly pressed the 37-year-old and hid her face until the camouflage identity could be restored.

In “The Masked Singer”, celebrities appear as singers, but hide their true selves behind elaborate costumes. The stars are revealed as soon as they don’t get enough votes or win at the very end. Ella Endlich claimed the Season 6 win. In the final she prevailed against actor Mark Keller (disguised as a thorn devil), singer Jeanette Biedermann (disco ball) and actress Nora Tschirner (ork).
