Tutzing: train crashes into a fallen tree after a storm – Munich

During a storm, a train crashed into a tree in Upper Bavaria. As a spokesman for the railway announced on Monday, the train drove against the tree on Sunday evening, which had probably fallen onto the track due to weather events.

The accident happened on the route between Tutzing and Weilheim. About 30 travelers were on the train. According to the information, no one was injured. The passengers were able to continue their journey with the rail replacement service.

According to the railway spokesman, no train journeys are currently possible on the route. A rail replacement service was set up.

The railway line is also closed between Übersee and Traunstein. A construction train burned near Traunstein on Sunday. That is why the BRB trains between Munich and Salzburg are expected to be canceled for two days. This closure also affects long-distance traffic.
