A mountain stream in the Alpine region burst its banks after heavy rainfall. Pictures taken by the fire brigade on Monday show the extent of the consequences. There is rubble everywhere, the emergency services have made their way through the chaos. While people in southern Italy have been suffering from heat and drought with forest fires for weeks, the north of the country has repeatedly been hit by storms and storms with heavy rainfall.
