Tui records record sales. This is due to catch-up effects, but not only. – Business

Optimism has always been widespread at Tui over the past few years, even when hardly any planes took off and no cruise ships set sail. This week, the positive outlook on things was actually appropriate: after almost four turbulent years, the world’s largest travel company can look back on a good financial year. Around 19 million people traveled with Tui between last autumn and autumn of this year. For the past financial year, the group recorded a profit of almost one billion euros before taxes and interest on sales of 20.7 billion euros. Sales are even around two billion euros higher than in 2019, which is considered a comparative figure because there are no pandemic-related restrictions yet.
