TSV 1860 throws Mölders from Kader – Sport

Third division soccer club TSV 1860 Munich has kicked its captain Sascha Mölders out of the squad with immediate effect. The association justified the decision on Monday in a message on its website with “an ongoing analysis of the past few weeks”.

That is why the sporting management decided, in coordination with both shareholders, “that Sascha Mölders will not be in the TSV 1860 Munich squad until further notice”. The white-blue team is coached by Michael Köllner.

Mölders reacted perplexed to the news. “I’m shocked,” wrote the 36-year-old on his Instagram account. He was on the training ground and was told “that I should no longer appear for training or that I should train individually because the coach so wishes,” said the striker. As captain, he wishes the team only the best.

Mölders had led the 60s on Saturday in the 2-5 home debacle against front runner 1. FC Magdeburg as captain. The 36-year-old has been playing for the Lions since 2016 and has a contract until the end of the current season.
