Once again, the week did not start well for Donald Trump. At least as far as his legal problems are concerned. Because a federal judge in New York on Monday evening dismissed his defamation lawsuit against the author E. Jean Carroll as unfounded. Carroll had sued Trump for a 30-year-old sexual assault in the dressing room of a New York department store – and was right by a jury this spring. However, not because of rape, as the 79-year-old testified today, but because of sexual abuse. Trump has to pay her five million dollars in compensation, but in turn sued her for defamation because she had explicitly accused him of rape.
