Jodie Foster will soon be seen in one of the main roles in “True Detective”. The start date for season four has now been set.

Jodie Foster (60) becomes an investigator. In the fourth season of the US crime series “True Detective” the two-time Oscar winner plays Detective Liz Danvers. She is investigating with colleague Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis, 37) in Alaska. HBO now has in common The premiere date for season four has been revealed with another teaser trailer. The series can therefore be seen from January 14, 2024.

Sky Deutschland announced in a statement that German fans can watch the episodes on Mondays at around 9 a.m. on Sky Q and on the streaming service WOW on the night of January 14th and 15th. The episodes are available in the original or in German as well as with German or English subtitles. A linear broadcast on Sky Atlantic is planned for a later date.

“True Detective: Night Country”: That’s what it’s about

“True Detective” is an anthology series that has a self-contained storyline with its own cast and main setting in each season (2014, 2015 and 2019). In the new season with the addition of “Night Country”, Jodie Foster takes on the role of Detective Liz Danvers for the first time, who is called into action with her colleague when eight men disappear in Ennis, Alaska. Together they operated the Arctic research station Tsalal. During the fall, Danvers and Navarro must confront their own darkness and get to the bottom of truths that lie buried beneath the eternal ice.

This is Jodie Foster’s first series regular role since her breakthrough as a film actress. The former child actress became a star in 1976 at the age of 13 with “Taxi Driver.” She has been in front of the camera for commercials and series since she was three years old, from “Bonanza” to “The Addams Family”.
