incitement to murder? – Mother and daughter are silent

Mother and daughter are allowed to hug before going back to their cells. The women are said to have planned the killing of the daughter’s ex-boyfriend and hired an acquaintance as a contract killer.
The money was handed over – according to the indictment, the shots were intended to hit the heart, mouth and head. A man should die because he hit his ex-partner in the relationship and gambled away 100,000 euros. Together with her 69-year-old mother, a 41-year-old woman has to answer to the Braunschweig Regional Court. They are charged with attempted incitement to murder.
At the start of the trial for this allegedly planned contract killing in Wolfenbüttel, Lower Saxony, the two accused women remained silent on the allegations. The defense lawyers said at the beginning that they would initially exercise their right to refuse to testify. The first day of the hearing was essentially limited to reading out the indictment, which was tough.
After the separation, the 69-year-old Iranian and her 41-year-old German-Iranian daughter wanted to punish the ex-boyfriend for the beating and also prevent custody of their child, according to the public prosecutor. Because 80,000 euros from the girlfriend and 20,000 euros from the mother were lost, the prosecutors are convinced that the decision to eliminate the 36-year-old matured at the end of last year.
The mother contacted a regular customer of the restaurant she ran in Wolfenbüttel. According to the indictment, she first wanted to find out whether the 33-year-old acquaintance would be willing to kill someone. According to the investigators, the man did not know the potential victim, but apparently signaled his “fundamental willingness” and named 17,000 euros as the price.
The alleged assassin informed the police
According to the indictment, the alleged contract killer played along until the money was paid and all the details were discussed. The 41-year-old accused is said to have provided him with two photos of her ex-partner, a handwritten note with his name and address and his shift plan. Shortly before the desired execution, however, the acquaintance revealed himself to the police and, in consultation with the officers, arranged a last meeting before the crime.
During the conversation on December 2, the 41-year-old accused specifically asked the acquaintance to shoot her ex-partner in the heart, mouth and head. Death would also please the mother, she is said to have said. That was enough for the officials to access it. Since then, the two women have been in custody in various cities in Lower Saxony.
On the first day of the trial, the court allowed the mother and daughter to hug each other before they were sent back to the prisons.
The process is suspended until Wednesday (May 24). Then the alleged assassin should also speak as a witness in court.
