She is said to have been there when her partner sexually abused her daughter several times: A 39-year-old woman has to answer in court for aiding and abetting serious sexual abuse of children by omission. The daughter was “defenseless and helpless,” said the prosecutor at the start of the trial on Tuesday in Schweinfurt. Despite dozens of sexual assaults, the mother did not intervene, but decided to “deliberately remain inactive”.
In one case, according to the indictment, she should have left the room – with the words: “Nobody could sleep there”. The defendant did not comment on the start of the trial. Her defense attorney announced that his client would make “comprehensive” statements in the course of the proceedings.
According to the investigators, the girl was nine years old when the 49-year-old began to sexually abuse her on bicycle and camping trips in an apartment in the Bad Kissingen area. In addition, the man had offered the girl to strange men at motorway service stations for abuse. A truck driver is said to have given the child five euros and a pack of cigarettes after the abuse.
The significant other made some pictures and videos of his deeds between summer 2018 and summer 2020. The mother must therefore also answer for complicit sexual abuse of children and aiding and abetting by failing to produce child pornography. The 49-year-old has already been sentenced to ten years in prison for forced prostitution and the large number of sexual assaults. Since the defense has appealed, the judgment is not yet final.
