Of course, it was not lost on the activists of the “Last Generation” that attention was currently focused on a completely different type of protest. “I personally don’t have a tractor,” said Philipp George in the meeting room of the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court (OLG). “My commitment to climate justice is limited to my body.” In doing so, the activist pointed out a difference that was visible to everyone between the farmers’ protests and the actions of the “climate glue”, as they are now even mentioned in the OLG press release. The other difference: The climate activists have been convicted in a row for coercion because of their blockade actions, which have now officially ended; The farmers’ protests, however, have so far been largely spared by the public prosecutor.
