Depp is allowed to remain silent – Kate Moss should testify

Amber Heard’s lawyers are withdrawing their plans to have Johnny Depp testify again. Instead, Kate Moss is now a new witness.
Change of plan in the current defamation trial between Johnny Depp (58) and Amber Heard (36): Heard’s legal team originally intended to ask Depp to testify again in court. A source close to Heard has the “People” magazine However, it was recently confirmed that the actress’s lawyers have now backtracked on the matter, deeming further testimony from Depp “irrelevant”.
Instead, supermodel Kate Moss (48) will testify in court next Wednesday. As reported by the New York Post, Moss is to be taken to court for her testimony via video. The background: Kate Moss and Johnny Depp were a couple from 1994 to 1998. Heard had mentioned the model’s name once in the past few weeks, claiming that Depp pushed his then-partner down the stairs during an argument.
Depp’s lawyers then accused Heard of making up the incident. Now it is suspected that Moss could deny Heard’s testimony in court. She and Depp are said to have had a friendly relationship with each other for years after the breakup.

Johnny Depp has sued Amber Heard for $50 million (€46 million) over a 2018 post she published in the Washington Post. In it, she claimed to be a victim of domestic violence. She did not mention her ex-husband by name. Depp claims the post nonetheless ruined his career, damaged his reputation and cost him a lot of money as a result. Heard has filed a $100 million counterclaim against her ex.
Closing speeches are scheduled for May 27th. The jury then has to reach a verdict.
