Travis Barker (48) believes that he is being watched over by guardian angels on the plane. The Blink182 member shares this touching message with a recent photo in his Instagram-Story. On this the drummer shows a ticket on which he has written the words: “I know I have angels watching over me!” To do this, he decorates the boarding pass with a small self-drawn cross. During a flight from Sydney to Perth, the reminder itself is in direct sight of Alabama’s father Luella Barker (18), so that he doesn’t lose sight of him during the trip.
The news has a very special meaning for the 48-year-old because he actually struggles with a great fear of flying. In an interview with New York Times Last year he spoke about how much his wife Kourtney Kardashian (44) had supported him in getting this under control. “I think the power of love really helped me,” claimed Travis and added: “Kourt made me fly, my children fly now. She healed us.” Because even Alabama Like her dad, she suffers from the fear of flying – ever since a particularly traumatizing incident.
The two’s fears were triggered by a terrible plane crash in 2008: Travis was on a private jet with five other passengers – but it crashed shortly after takeoff. At that time, the seriously injured drummer survived the accident – but four of the six passengers died tragically. Since then, the musician has suffered from a great fear of flying and had not dared to board a plane for around 13 years – until almost two years ago! Dared to be at his wife’s side Travis into a private plane belonging to his sister-in-law Kylie Jenner (26) and overcame his fear.
