A man crashed and died with his paraglider in the Traunstein district. The screen suddenly collapsed after a smooth start during the flight, as a police spokesman said on Friday.
The 61-year-old from Kolbermoor fell from a height of about 30 meters on a meadow and was fatally injured. The mountain rescue service recovered the dead with a helicopter.
The man started on Thursday at Balsberg in Unterwössen and was a student pilot at the local flight school. Investigations into the course of the accident have been started
