Change perfect: Sabitzer from Bayern to Dortmund

Marcel Sabitzer’s move from Bayern Munich to Borussia Dortmund is perfect. As the German soccer champion announced, the Austrian joins BVB. The 29-year-old Austrian came to Munich from Leipzig in the summer of 2021. He played for Manchester United on loan last season.
Sabitzer appeared in 54 competitive games for the German record champions and scored two goals. According to BVB, Sabitzer signed an employment contract valid until June 30, 2027. Nothing was officially announced about the fee. It should be in the range of 15 to 20 million euros. Sabitzer will follow the BVB squad, who left for a test match trip to the USA on Monday, on Tuesday, as will BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl.
“Marcel Sabitzer is a player with heart and passion who has always given everything for Bayern,” said Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, according to the Bayern announcement. “I would like to do my part to ensure that BVB achieves its goals and has every reason to celebrate something special with its fans again as soon as possible,” said the player in a BVB statement.
