“He is a role model for other players, has Bayern DNA in him. I can’t imagine him leaving,” said offensive player Musiala of “Sport Bild”. Kimmich still has a contract in Munich until the summer of 2025.
Nevertheless, there had recently been rumors about a possible move to FC Barcelona. Robert Lewandowski was also drawn there last summer. Now the Spaniards are said to have targeted Kimmich in their search for a successor to Sergio Busquets. “In general, it’s not like I’m really busy with it. I still have two years of contract with FC Bayern and we have big plans there,” said the 28-year-old about the speculation.
According to Musiala, Kimmich is of immense importance for the Munich game. “He’s hungry, incredibly hungry – sometimes maybe even too hungry. Everyone can learn something from his mentality,” said Musiala (20).
