“Yesterday I informed those responsible at both clubs that I had decided on Eintracht. I experienced sensational things here with Eintracht and we made history together. The start of the season was bumpy, but I have absolute confidence in us,” said the 32-year-old of the “image”.

Man United had offered Trapp a four-year contract, which, according to media reports, he initially wanted to accept. “It is correct that there is a written offer. Manchester United is a world club. I hope everyone can understand that I am dealing with such an offer and thinking about it,” said Trapp, who won the Europa League from Hesse has a contract until June 30, 2024.

The Telegraph had previously reported that Trapp was too expensive for the Premier League club. United did not want to pay the 25 million euros demanded by Frankfurt. Accordingly, Manchester are now concentrating on the Slovakian national goalkeeper Martin Dubravka (33) from Newcastle United.
