FC Bayern is getting additional defensive personnel. Full-back Sacha Boey comes from Galatasaray Istanbul. The Frenchman gets a long-term contract.

The one plagued by injury problems FC Bayern is getting additional personnel for the decimated defense. The Munich team completed the transfer of French full-back Sacha Boey. The 23-year-old comes from Turkish champions Galatasaray Istanbul and signed a contract until June 30, 2028.

Galatasaray itself announced that the Munich team would pay 30 million euros plus a five million euro bonus. There is also proportional income from two friendly matches. Bayern did not provide any details about the transfer fee.

Boey was primarily used as a right-back in Turkey; after defender Eric Dier (Tottenham Hotspur), he is the second winter signing for coach Thomas Tuchel and his team.

“Sacha Boey is a very fast and physically strong right-back who covers a lot of kilometers in every game and is not afraid of a tackle. Tuchel has major personnel problems at Bayern, especially in defense. Dayot Upamecano and Konrad Laimer (both muscle injuries) as well as Joshua Kimmich (shoulder) were also missing from the 3-2 win against FC Augsburg on Saturday. Offensive player Kingsley Coman also injured his knee during the game.
