Transfer from Kane to FC Bayern: FCB probably agree with Tottenham – Sport

The tough poker around Harry Kane is apparently over: FC Bayern and Tottenham Hotspur have allegedly agreed on a change of striker after weeks of tugging. This was first reported by The Athletic, which Daily Mail and Sky confirmed the information. The Munich are therefore ready to pay a record fee of over 100 million euros for the 30-year-old striker. If the player agrees to his move, the transfer could be completed this Thursday.

England’s team captain would be the most expensive purchase in the league’s 60-year history. Bayern would also send a clear signal to the international competition on their Mission Triple with the top transfer. In Munich, Kane is to replace Robert Lewandowski, who migrated to Barcelona in the summer of 2022. Kane’s contract with Spurs expires in 2024.

The striker has been at Tottenham on a two-year hiatus since 2004 but has not won a trophy with the club. Kane was top scorer at the 2018 World Cup and the Premier League in 2016, 2017 and 2021. In all, he has scored 280 goals for Spurs in 435 competitive games and 58 in 84 international appearances. Kane is England’s record goalscorer. Negotiations about the transfer to Munich have been dragging on since the end of June.

The Munich team found a stubborn opponent in Spurs President Daniel Levy. The first Munich offer was 70 million euros plus bonuses. In 2021, Kane was about to jump to Manchester City, when Levy rejected an offer of £100m.

Kane would be Bayern’s fourth signing this season. The record champions had previously signed Raphael Guerreiro (Borussia Dortmund), Konrad Laimer (RB Leipzig/both free transfers) and Min-Jae Kim (SSC Napoli/50 million). Kyle Walker from Manchester City canceled Bayern, coach Thomas Tuchel would like a defensive six.
