Bestensee. A fatal accident occurred on Friday evening in the Dahme-Spreewald district. What the police investigation revealed.
A person died when a car collided with a train at the Rathenaustraße railway crossing in Bestensee (Dahme-Spreewald district). The RE7 regional express, which was traveling from Berlin to Cottbus on Friday evening, had the car more than 100 meters dragged far. Initially the police spoke of around 500 meters.
After the collision the car was in fire devices. The driver was completely burned. Residents heard a bang and alerted the police. The identity of the dead person or persons is still unclear.
