A cyclist was hit by a trailer and thrown over a fence. As the police announced on Saturday, the 60-year-old suffered serious injuries to his face and leg. The trailer broke off the trailer hitch of a car while driving through Marxheim (Donau-Ries district) and rolled into the oncoming lane. The trailer hit the man, who was thrown over a fence into a garden by the force of the impact. Paramedics took him to a hospital. Officials could not find a defect in the car’s towbar or trailer. The police therefore assume human error.
