Traffic in Bavaria: ADAC expects a lot of traffic jams on the motorways at Easter – Bavaria

If you want to travel over the Easter weekend, you have to be prepared for traffic jams. According to the ADAC, a particularly large number of holidaymakers are drawn to high-altitude winter sports resorts or to the coast, the automobile club in Munich said. According to forecasts, there will be a particularly large number of traffic jams on Maundy Thursday, as holiday travelers will be joined by commuters.

The ADAC also expects a lot of traffic on Germany’s highways for Easter Monday. In some federal states the Easter holidays will already end. The experts expect traffic conditions to be somewhat more relaxed on Easter Sunday.

Delays are to be expected, especially at construction sites and on motorways in metropolitan areas, it said. The West, Tauern and Brenner motorways in Austria and Italy as well as the Gotthard route in Switzerland are also particularly at risk of traffic jams on the days around Easter.
