Traffic is cut off after a serious accident on the A9 between Sète and Montpellier in the direction of traffic towards Lyon following a serious accident. Under circumstances yet to be determined, a truck and a van collided in the middle of the morning, around 9:50 a.m.
A first assessment reported a victim in absolute emergency (the driver of the van) and a victim in relative emergency (the driver of the heavy goods vehicle). It has since gotten heavier. One of the victims died, it is not yet known if it is the driver of the van, and two other people are in relative emergency. Two other people involved in this accident are unharmed.
The accident caused severe disruption on the highway. This is cut between Sète and Montpellier and exit n° 33 (Sète) is compulsory for vehicles coming from Béziers.
