Traffic – construction work on the A 99 – Munich district

The eight-lane expansion of the A 99 between Aschheim and Kirchheim will result in numerous adverse effects for road users in the coming weeks. From Friday, October 15 to Monday, October 18, at the Kirchheim junction, traffic from State Road 2082 will be transferred to the newly constructed temporary bridge that was used in September. Due to the limited space, only three lanes are available on this temporary bridge and not four as on the old one, which is to be demolished in November.

On the night of Sunday, October 24th, the autobahn will be closed from midnight to 3 a.m. in the direction of Salzburg at the Aschheim-Ismaning junction to allow a bridge to be lifted, and traffic will be directed via the eastern bypass to the Kirchheim junction. In order to prepare for the work, the Aschheim-West car park must be closed from Friday, October 22nd to Sunday, October 24th, at around 5 a.m. From Thursday, October 28th, the motorway bridge on Erdinger Straße between Kirchheim and Aschheim will be closed, and a temporary bridge is currently being built there too. Traffic is routed via the Kirchheim junction to the south – pedestrians and cyclists can continue to use the bridge. Ramps are partially closed at the Kirchheim junction on the weekends from October 29th to 31st and November 5th to 7th, traffic is then diverted locally via the roundabout at the entrance to Kirchheim; the traffic on the A 99 remains unaffected.

On the weekend of November 12th to 13th, the bridge on Erdinger Straße will be demolished, traffic on the A 99 will then be diverted to the opposite lane, and there will be partial closures at the Kirchheim junction. This will also be the case from November 19-21 and November 26-27.

In addition, extensive wood care measures will begin next week on the A 94 between Munich and Feldkirchen-West, and these will last until the end of February. It will happen again and again that individual lanes are closed to traffic, and traffic disruptions are to be expected. In principle, however, the work should not take place during rush hour traffic.
