The Kirchseeon fire brigade had to remove a long trace of oil in Kirchseeon’s Rotwandstraße on Sunday morning. The pollution was caused by a motorist who drove over a snow-covered rock, damaging the car’s oil pan so badly that all the engine oil spilled onto the road. According to the police, the oil film spread over the entire roadway in a short time. It is still unclear whether the oil also reached the sewage system. The water management office was informed and, according to the police, is taking care of the matter. 30 helpers from the Kirchseeon fire brigade were on duty.
