Toys: The trend is towards cuddling – economy

“Cinnamon” is the name of the fluffy pony, meaning “cinnamon” in German. A curious name for a stuffed animal, even if this one can do a lot. Cinnamon blinks and moves its eyes, and when children pet it or give it a kiss, it responds with audible and visible gratitude. The pony can display a total of 80 consistently friendly and loving states of mind. Cinnamon is a huggable and nurturing toy. And is therefore trendy, because cuddling is popular in German children’s rooms. The plush toy market has grown by ten percent in the first ten months of this year. At the same time, total sales of toys fell by five percent. And so it is only logical that a jury of toy retailers chose “Cinnamon” as one of the top ten toys in the current Christmas business.
