A week after the collapse of a 3-story building at 4 rue Saint-Rome, in the historic district of the city of Toulouse, and a few days after the preventive evacuation of several buildings, including that of 1 rue des Puits Clos where worrying cracks were noted, a new building was preventively evacuated, Saturday March 16 around 8 p.m., in another district of the city.

The Toulouse town hall announces that the building located at 2 bis place de Belfort has been evacuated, “after the report of a crack in a stairwell in the interior courtyard”. This building is made up of “12 housing units and 2 businesses on the ground floor”, specifies the town hall.

“The first analyzes of the building carried out by an expert commissioned by the Toulouse town hall led, as a precautionary measure, to the evacuation of the fifteen occupants of the building by the SDIS, the national police, the municipal police and the services of the Toulouse town hall”, adds the town hall in its press release.
