Detained Tornado Cash developer Alexsey Pertsev will spend another three months in detention in the Netherlands. According to the court hearing on November 22
Pertsev was a key figure in the Tornado Cash operation before Advocate WK Cheng voiced the argument. It highlights several issues with Tornado Cash use cases and misconceptions about its functionality.
“I am disappointed with the verdict. We have tried to explain as clearly as possible what the defense standpoint is,” Cheng said after initial consideration.
The supporter insisted that the hearing be postponed to February 20, 2023, and reiterated his belief that the state had a one-sided interpretation of Pertsev’s involvement with Tornado Cash.
