According to Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the federal and state governments have settled their dispute over the introduction of the nationwide 49-euro ticket in local public transport. “The Germany ticket will come now, also very quickly,” said Scholz after consultations with the prime ministers of the federal states. The federal and state governments want to split the costs for half each, said Lower Saxony’s Prime Minister Stephan Weil (SPD).
