The final German trailer for “Top Gun: Maverick” is here. In addition to scenes with Tom Cruise, there is an indirect reunion with Val Kilmer.

It’s less than two months until the theatrical release of the repeatedly postponed “Top Gun: Maverick” on May 26, 2022. Paramount Pictures has now released the final trailer for the continuation of the aviation spectacle with Tom Cruise (59). The clip is already available in German.

There’s plenty of flying action in just over two minutes, of course – and there are several scenes with Cruise as legendary but controversial fighter pilot Pete “Maverick” Mitchell. Maverick is now to train the next generation of the Navy. According to the trailer, however, he does not see himself as a teacher.

Reunion with “Iceman” Val Kilmer

The formerly rebellious pilot owes the job to an acquaintance – his old competitor and later friend Tom “Iceman” Kasanzky. He’s an admiral now. In a photo you can see Iceman actor Val Kilmer (62), who is part of the game like in the original from 1986.

Fans will also get to see more of the young recruits Maverick is assigned to train in the new trailer. Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw (Miles Teller, 35) takes center stage. The up-and-coming pilot is the son of Maverick’s late friend Nick “Goose” Bradshaw. Maverick takes Rooster and the other newbies under his wing on a risky mission. Not everyone will survive, at least the trailer suggests.
