In the “Duel Around the World”, presenter Tommi Schmitt was served a huge hash cookie. The task: the thing had to be fed within 36 hours. It became a challenge with ups and downs.
The “duel around the world” is known for nasty tasks that seem almost impossible to solve. For moderator Tommi Schmitt (“Mixed Hack”) there was a challenge on Saturday evening that was particularly tough: in a country house near Amsterdam, the 32-year-old was served a huge hash cookie that was served inside They had to be fed for 36 hours. Particularly nasty: The moderator had to stay sober for the task and was not allowed to eat anything in the hours before. This should accelerate the onset of the “biscuit effect”.
Schmitt was concerned: “I’ve already smoked weed, tried that, but that’s a completely different house number. It’s also not entirely harmless.” A doctor overseeing the task tried to reassure the moderator: “If everything goes well, you’ll just be on it for 36 hours.” Schmitt wanted to know what that meant. “What can happen is that you feel extreme states of restlessness, nausea, you may also vomit, delusion, maybe even hallucinations, that you get anxiety”, said the doctor. However, it has not yet been observed that an overdose of cannabis has resulted in death. Very reassuring.
Schmitt has to post motivational speech: “Cringe”
At least four members of the film crew supported Schmitt with the task. But despite the five eaters, the drug biscuit hardly seemed to be getting any less. But the effect soon set in: the five joked, laughed and even withstood a nasty extra task by Joko. Despite their condition, they had to withstand a piece of greasy salami pizza. But apparently the denied snack did not contribute to the group’s motivation: Shortly afterwards, leaden tiredness spread. The group decided to get a few hours of sleep.
The next additional task after the biscuit breakfast the next morning was tough: Schmitt had to give a motivational speech for the national team on Instagram and link all players to it. It took a lot of effort for the 32-year-old. As for his Instagram account, he is “vain”, he is followed by more than 680,000 people. But finally he posted the video. As feared, the clip caused a lot of astonishment among his followers: “Are you drunk ?, one user wanted to know. Another simply wrote” Cringe “- which translates as” to be ashamed of others “.
But in the end all the effort was of no use: The dry biscuit got stuck in the throat after hours of gluttony – despite hastily worried whipped cream and unsuccessful attempts to liquefy the cookie into a kind of smoothie. Tommi Schmitt gave up: “There was just too many biscuits. It was no longer possible. No chance.” There was no country point for Klaas.
News presenter Linda Zervakis had not drawn an easy lot in the current episode either: She had to face a huge wrecking ball in Latvia. Social media star Jens Knossalla was aiming high. He had to climb a huge ship’s mast in Spain.
